Chemical Peels

Chemical Peels

Skin peel has a long history. In ancient times people found out that certain plants have the ability to reduce skin flaws and are able to brighten the skin. Nowadays, a range of skin peel products is available to deal with skin issues such as dilated pores, pimples, dark spots, melasma and post inflammatory pigmentation issues.

There are different levels of skin peels available depending on the skin condition, so it is a good idea that you visit our clinic to consult with our doctors to see which type of our skin peels suits your skin.

Superficial Medical Grade Peel

You can book your treatment even at your break time and you are able to get back to your daily activities immediately after the treatment.

It is a safe and non -invasive procedure that takes only a few minutes. The superficial peel can be applied for dilated pores to balance the oil production through the skin and promote collagen production. It can also be used for the freckles to diminish their size and color.

During the Skin Peel

You will feel a sting like sensation during the peel for a few minutes. Some people experience a sensation of itching instead of stinging.

After the Skin Peel

You need to apply cooling bags for a few minutes after completing the procedures before leaving the clinic.

It is important to avoid sun exposure by applying sunscreen frequently after each treatment.

What to expect after superficial skin medical peel

It gives the skin a smoother and softer appearance, balances the oil production and reduces the fine lines and dark spots resulting in a glow and hydrated skin.

Bright Skin Peel

If your skin needs a touch up to be more even and brighter, this peel is the solution for you. There is a variety of medical alpha and beta hydroxy acid solutions such as a Lactic acid, Kojic acid, Glycolic acid, Azelaic acid that give your skin a clearer, healthier and uniform appearance. This peel also applies to treat body pigmentation issues that can be due to the acne condition.

Balance Skin Peel

This peel is to improve dilated pores, imperfection and acne.  Your skin will look softer. The pores become less visible and the imperfection and acne will be improved by this type of skin peel.

Lightening Skin Peel

A combination of certain alpha and beta hydroxy acids in addition to anti pigmentation products is a suitable peel for deeper pigmentation spots and melasma on your skin. This peel is very effective but requires more ‘after treatment skin care’.

FAQ

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF PEELS?

All type of peels performed at Banu Beauty Laser Clinic are considered superficial; they do not penetrate beyond the epidermis or papillary dermis. They are not to be confused with medical or physician-strength peels that affect the reticular dermis.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

The number of chemical peels you should have depends on the goals you are trying to achieve. For best results, peels should be done in a series, anywhere from 3 to 6 to start in conjunction with the proper home care regiment. Quarterly maintenance is also recommended to continue to obtain the benefits of the series of treatments.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY TREATMENT?

For the week prior to your session, stop using any retinoids or alpha hydroxy acids. You’ll also want to cleanse, moisturise and apply sunscreen every day to ensure a more effective treatment.
